Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, has ranked seventh in a ranking conducted by Pole Global Marketing (PGM), an international research and evaluation body.
The ranking covered 180 tertiary institutions in Nigeria, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. According to PGM, the ranking was based on key performance indicators, such as academic excellence, community impact, innovation, and institutional management.
Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed, the rector, described the feat as motivation to commit better to STEM education and entrepreneurship.
As STEM education gains more recognition in the country, the Tosin Eniolorunda STEM Foundation has launched a scholarship programme to empower promising students in Nigeria.
