Foundation, FUTO Partner to Build Students’ Skills

Regalo Hope Foundation has partnered with the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), to equip students with practical, industry-based skills for better career opportunities.

Speaking during the 2025 Youth Development Workshop held in collaboration with FUTO’s Career Service Centre and Students Union Government, the foundation’s Founder and Project Director, Chinenye Onuorah, said the programme aims to bridge the gap between academic grades and employable skills.

She explained that students need more than classroom knowledge to succeed, stressing the importance of digital skills and real-world exposure. “We want to help students navigate their future by giving them the tools to excel both in academics and the labour market,” she said. Onuorah called on the Federal Government and Imo State to partner with youth development organisations to expand access to digital and employability training, ensuring more young people are prepared for the demands of today’s workforce.
