FUDMA Denies Mid-Semester Break Rumours

The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has dismissed speculation of a mid-semester break for the current academic session.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring stated that no such decision had been made, and academic activities would continue as scheduled.

The memo, signed by Professor Daud Mustafa, the Director, was addressed to staff and students across the institution. It described the reports of a break as “false” and urged members of the university community to disregard them.

“The Directorate wishes to state clearly that there is no mid-semester break as it is being speculated,” the statement read. “All staff and students are hereby advised to stay on campus to continue all academic activities.”

The university said the clarification was necessary to prevent disruption to the academic calendar and to maintain stability in teaching and learning.

Rumours of a possible break had been circulating within and outside the campus in recent days, prompting concern among students. The management said it remained committed to keeping the session on track.
