FUNAAB’s student, Abdul-Hamid Awwal
Abdul-Hamid Awwal, a 500-level Agricultural Economics and Farm Management student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has won a brand new car at the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion grand finale held on October 31, 2025.
The three-day event, which took place from October 29 to 31, transformed the campus into a hub of entertainment and innovation, featuring gaming villages, exhibitions, and digital workshops. Nigerian entertainer Nasboi headlined the closing ceremony.
Awwal emerged as the winner through a digital raffle that required an active MTN Pulse membership, ten MoMo transactions, and consistent app usage. “I kept saying I would win the car, and Allah favoured me!” he said.
Other students received laptops, tablets, smartphones, and airtime, while ten entrepreneurs showcased their products in the retail village.
MTN Nigeria’s Youth Segment Manager, Femi Adesina, stated that the programme equips students with the skills and confidence to compete globally.
The FUNAAB event marked the fifth stop of MTN’s 2025 campus tour, which has also visited Abuja, Owerri, Benin and Makurdi, with plans to reach Kano and Lagos next.
