The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has dismissed viral claims suggesting that its Radiography programme lacks accreditation.
In a statement, the management clarified that the programme currently enjoys interim accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC), which fully allows students to attend lectures, write examinations, graduate, and build careers.
The university explained that professional accreditation nationwide has been suspended by the Federal Ministry of Education, with only a few programmes granted exceptions. It therefore described the viral post, allegedly circulated by the Students’ Union Government and some Radiography students, as “misleading, null, and void.”
FUOYE assured students and stakeholders that the NUC would revisit the programme in due course and emphasised that their academic progress and welfare remain top priorities. Management urged the public to disregard the false claims, stressing that students’ career prospects are not under any threat.
