Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State
Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, has approved the outstanding salaries and minimum wage arrears of the staff of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
The governor disclosed the approval during the inauguration of the institution’s governing council, noting that the state government would provide the necessary support to enable them to operate effectively.
He urged the council to ensure that the teaching hospital complex is renovated and is operational within 12 months.
Speaking further about the complex project, he said, “I thought it was included in the French grant, but they came back and said no. I said okay, even if it was not included, we will take it on as a state. It is a 12-month special project. Moreover, I will be available to provide and give any kind of support that you may require.”
