HOA Inspects Drainage Project, Proposed School Site in Igbogbo

Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has visited Zumratul Islamiyyah School, Igbogbo, to inspect the ongoing drainage construction and assess the site earmarked for a new primary school.

Aroyewun expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work on the drainage system, describing it as a crucial intervention to provide a safe and conducive learning environment. He noted that flooding had long disrupted academic activities and posed health and safety risks to pupils and staff.

He assured that the project would be closely monitored to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards, stressing its role in safeguarding both the school and the surrounding community.

The Chairman also visited the proposed site for a new primary school, describing it as a strategic response to the growing demand for quality education infrastructure in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

According to him, the initiative aligns with his administration’s GLORY Agenda, which prioritises access to education. He added that the school would expand learning opportunities, reduce pressure on existing facilities, and bring education closer to children in the community.
