The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated its Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the 2025/2026 admission exercise.
Through the portal, candidates can now monitor their admission status and respond once an offer is made. According to JAMB, once an applicant has been offered admission, they are required to either accept or reject it.
Several universities and other tertiary institutions have already begun uploading admission lists to the CAPS platform. JAMB advised candidates to check the portal regularly, as some institutions may not publish their lists on their official websites or notice boards.
Candidates can access CAPS by logging in to the JAMB e-facility portal using their registered email address and password. The system will indicate whether admission has been offered, and successful applicants can confirm by sending an SMS with the word “ACCEPT” or “REJECT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.
JAMB noted that candidates have four weeks to respond to offers, after which unaccepted admissions may lapse. Successful candidates are also required to print their admission letters, which will be needed for clearance and registration at their institutions.
