Prof Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the guidelines for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination board announced this on its official X handle on Sunday, December 7, 2025, and also listed common challenges candidates may face.
JAMB noted that candidates must ensure their personal details, including their National Identification Number (NIN), email address, and A-Level results, are accurate before generating a profile code and during their final submission, as inaccurate data could lead to complications.
In addition, candidates are encouraged to correct necessary mistakes with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and ensure the changes are reflected on their portals before registering.
