The staff of the Kaduna State College of Nursing Sciences have embarked on a 3-day strike on Monday, August 18, 2025.
According to the college’s workers’ union, the strike followed what they described as the management’s refusal to promote eligible staff from 2023 to 2025. The strike halted the institution’s academic and non-academic activities across its three campuses in Kaduna, Kafanchan, and Pambegua.
Dr. Daniel Danboyi, the chairman of the workers’ union, said the staff disclosed that the school management had neglected their welfare and hindered their career advancement. He urged the state governor to intervene in the issue to prevent it from developing into an extended industrial dispute.
