KolaDaisi University Delays Resumption

KolaDaisi University (KDU), Ibadan, has postponed the resumption dates for the 2025/2026 academic session to allow the completion and furnishing of newly built student hostels.

In a statement issued by the Registrar, H.O. Adetu, on Friday, the university said fresh students will now resume on Sunday, October 19 2025, while returning students are to resume on Sunday, October 26 2025.

The university had initially scheduled resumption for 5 and 12 October, but management said the adjustment was necessary to ensure a more comfortable and conducive environment for students.

“This adjustment is necessary to allow for the completion and proper furnishing of the newly constructed hostels,” Adetu said. “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding.”

He added that the new facilities are part of efforts to enhance student welfare and strengthen KDU’s commitment to high academic and living standards.

Students and staff have broadly welcomed the decision, describing it as a proactive move to prioritise student comfort.

Located along the Ibadan–Oyo Expressway, KolaDaisi University is one of Nigeria’s leading private institutions known for its modern facilities and serene learning environment.
