The Lagos State Government have commissioned the newly renovated block of classrooms at Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja. The achievement is a result of a strong partnership with the Rotary Club of Ikeja South, District 9111.
The formal handover ceremony, held within the school premises, was attended by officials from the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), dignitaries from the Rotary Club, members of the school community, and various education stakeholders. The newly equipped classrooms mark a significant step in the ongoing public-private collaboration aimed at enhancing learning environments throughout the state.
Dr Hakeem Babatunde Shittu, the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, lauded the Rotary Club of Ikeja South, District 9111, for their commendable intervention. He emphasised that the initiative aligns perfectly with the Lagos State Government’s vision for creating conducive and inclusive learning atmospheres for all pupils. “This renovated block of classrooms is not just a building – it is a symbol of hope, progress, and partnership,” Dr Shittu stated. “We are immensely grateful to the Rotary Club of Ikeja South, District 9111, for complementing our efforts towards providing world-class infrastructure for public basic schools in Lagos State.”
