Engr. Kola Balogun, Chairman, MOMAS Group, Inspects Groundbreaking College of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Engineering
Engr. Kola Balogun, Chairman of MOMAS Group, has officially inspected the newly commissioned Kola Balogun College of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Engineering at Summit University, Offa, Kwara State.
The state-of-the-art facility, donated by Dr Balogun, will focus on Artificial Intelligence, drone technology, and STEM education, providing students with industry-ready skills.
The visit, attended by Air Vice Marshal AbdulGaniyu Olabisi (Rtd) and representatives from One Innovation Hub, highlighted the partnership between MOMAS Group and Summit University to develop youth capacity in emerging technologies. The college features drone simulation rooms, assembly bays, digital fabrication labs and a PCB production unit, reflecting Nigeria’s push toward technological self-reliance.
Dr Balogun stated, “This college represents our commitment to empowering Nigerian youth to solve tomorrow’s challenges in energy, security, and drone technology.” AVM Olabisi added that integrating drone technology into university training will support national security, agriculture, and disaster management.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Abiodun Musa Aibinu described the initiative as transformational, noting that the programmes will produce certified drone pilots and innovators. He also highlighted scholarship opportunities and ongoing collaborations with the ONEIH–Kola Balogun Technology Centre, emphasising that the project positions Summit University as a national hub for AI, UAV and digital engineering.
Dr Balogun concluded, “We are not just building a college; we are building Nigeria’s future.”
