A 200-level engineering student at the University of Benin has won a brand-new car in the ongoing MTN “Go MAD Campus Invasion” campaign.
Edomwonyi Osariemen received a 2025 Alsvin Mikano after his ticket was drawn in a raffle held during the event. Hundreds of students had taken part in the draw.
Speaking after the announcement, Osariemen said he had not expected to win. “I still cannot believe this happened to me. I came to the event to enjoy myself with my friends, and now I am leaving with a brand-new car. This has changed everything for me,” he said.
Other participants won laptops, MTN Mifi devices and airtime. One of the students, identified as Daniel, said the campaign created opportunities beyond the prizes. “I did not win the car, but I won a laptop, and it means a lot. Even beyond the prizes, this event gave us confidence to showcase our talents and connect with opportunities,” he said.
The MTN “Go MAD Campus Invasion” is designed to engage university students across Nigeria through entertainment, skills exhibitions and giveaways.
