The National Association of Seadogs (NAS), also known as Pyrates Confraternity, in partnership with the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) in Rivers State, has donated books to Community Secondary School, Mgbuoshimini, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The confraternity also launched a project titled ‘Reviving the Reading Culture in Secondary Schools in Rivers State’, at the school, to encourage the students to develop regular reading habits. Dr Nyemezu Chidaka, the NLA Chairman, stated that the library partnered with the NAS due to its significant impact on the lives of young people. Nnamdi Ilochi, the confraternity chaplain, mentioned that the initiative aims to improve academic performance and foster critical thinking.
