NGO Donates 1,500 Exercise Books to Enugu Rural Schools

NGO donates exercise books

A non-governmental organisation, the Aneke Paschal Onyekachi Care Foundation (APOCF), on Thursday donated approximately 1,500 exercise books to pupils in rural schools across Enugu State.

The beneficiary schools were Community Primary School, Uhuona, Ugbawka, located in Nkanu East Local Government Area, and Station Primary School, Agbani, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the Foundation during the donation, Programme Officer Mr Samson Obinna Ogbu stated that the initiative aimed to encourage pupils to take a greater interest in their studies. He emphasised that the gesture was part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting pupils in their educational journey.

Mr Ogbu noted that education remains a key pathway to success and personal development, enabling children to pursue careers such as governors, senators, lawyers, bankers, journalists, and doctors.

“This intervention is to support your academic journey. With education, you can become whatever you aspire to be. Whether you aim to be a governor, senator, teacher, journalist, or doctor, it starts with taking your learning seriously,” he said.

He reiterated the importance of advancing quality education in rural areas, stressing that the future of the pupils was at the heart of the Foundation’s efforts. “We want to ensure that education reaches every child, regardless of location. We are interested in your future. Do not joke with your studies—your seriousness today determines your progress tomorrow,” he added.

Expressing her appreciation, Mrs Jacinta Anene Ogbu, who represented the Head Teacher of Community Primary School, Uhuona, thanked the Foundation for selecting their school as one of the beneficiaries.

Similarly, the Head Teacher of Station Primary School, Agbani, Mr Kingsley Animba, expressed gratitude for the donation and prayed for divine blessings upon the donors.
