Nguru Education Stakeholders Forge New Partnership to Tackle Out-of-School Children Crisis

The Education Secretary of Nguru Local Government, Alhaji Hamisu Ado, welcomed the proprietor of Fatima Academy, Hajiya Fatima Shettima, and her team to his office.

The discussion centred on key issues such as motivating teachers and addressing the increasing number of out-of-school children.

While addressing the visitors, Alhaji Hamisu Ado emphasised the importance of teamwork and synergy. He stressed the importance of all stakeholders fully supporting and aligning with government policies and programmes to enhance access to education, particularly for vulnerable children in the community.

Hajiya Fatima Shettima reaffirmed her commitment to closer collaboration with the education authorities in her response. She assured the Education Secretary that her school was prepared to make a significant contribution to efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the area.

This initiative is part of a larger effort to re-strategise and promote collective action in tackling the crisis of out-of-school children, which must be addressed as a shared responsibility.

In Yobe State, particularly in Nguru Local Government Area, a new partnership has been formed between the Local Education Authority and private school proprietors, creating a platform for collaboration and mutual understanding.

This partnership aims to bridge longstanding communication gaps that have impeded progress and effective change in the education sector.
