Nigerian Education Delegates Attend 43rd UNESCO Conference

Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, Minister of State for Education, leads Nigeria delegation to the 43rd UNESCO General Conference

Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, the Honourable Minister of State for Education, has led a delegation to the 43rd United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) General Conference at Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The delegation includes Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC); Senator Muntari Danduste, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund; and officials from the NUC and state ministries of education.

While at the event, the delegates shared their experiences and collaborated with others to gain insights on tackling the issues affecting Nigeria’s educational system.

In addition, the visit to the conference helped the delegation show Nigeria’s participation in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, with special focus on quality education.
