Kenechukwu Oluwafemi Morayo Uba, a student of Caleb International College, Lagos, has emerged the best in the world in English Language at the 2024 Cambridge IGCSE examinations.
Her outstanding performance in English as a Second Language (speaking endorsement) earned her global recognition at the British Council’s Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards held in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Louise Hendey, Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Cambridge International, described Uba as “a pride not only to Nigeria, but to Africa.” She received a standing ovation from guests from across six continents as she was presented with her certificate.
Dr Ola Adebogun, Director of Caleb Group of Schools, said the success was a result of the school’s commitment to excellence, quality teaching staff, and strict adherence to educational standards.
