Adebayo Ajayi is a man on a mission: to prove that excellence is not just an aspiration but a standard that can transform lives, businesses, and nations. A Personal Excellence Coach and author of Living Excellently, Ajayi has spent more than 15 years shaping leaders, building businesses, and inspiring innovation through his organisation, Success Within International. He also runs PMP-Hub and Nakol ProjectPro Limited, platforms designed to equip SMEs with project management tools and growth strategies.
With degrees from Covenant University, Robert Gordon University, and the University of East London, Ajayi is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Leadership at Oral Roberts University, USA. His academic journey reflects a lifelong commitment to diligence, a trait he says defines his mantra: “Nothing short of excellence.”
For Ajayi, Nigeria’s diaspora holds the key to accelerating innovation. He believes Nigerians abroad can bring home not just capital but systems, expertise, and global best practices. Through teaching as an Adjunct Professor in Canada, volunteering with PMI Lakeshore Ontario, and mentoring young professionals, he positions himself as a bridge between global opportunities and Nigeria’s potential. “Wherever I stand globally, I must serve as a channel for knowledge, resources, and opportunities to flow back into Nigeria,” he says.
Ajayi also emphasises that education reform is crucial to developing an innovation-driven economy. He calls for project-based learning, innovation hubs, and stronger industry-academia partnerships to ensure graduates leave school with practical solutions and prototypes, not just certificates. His work with SMEs, meanwhile, focuses on helping them move from survival to growth, making them stronger engines of innovation.
Looking ahead, Ajayi envisions a Nigeria whose greatest export is not crude oil but talent, ideas, and technologies. His message is clear: with discipline, responsibility, and consistency, excellence can fuel a culture of innovation that puts Nigeria firmly on the global stage.
