The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has partnered with MIDAS IT, an Indian software company, to invest $17.4 million to improve engineering education at 15 Nigerian universities.
Margaret Oguntala, NSE President, appreciated MIDAS’s donation, noting that it supports NSE’s goal of improving the quality of engineering education in Nigeria.
In a statement, Felicia Agubata, the Vice President of NSE Corporate Services, said the partnership will focus more on research and education in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering.
Agubata stressed that the MIDAS software packages donated through the partnership will bridge the gap between theory and real-life engineering applications.
