NYSC Trains Legal Officers on Professional Service Delivery

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has organised a capacity workshop for its legal officers in a move to strengthen professional service delivery and improve statutory compliance.

Speaking at the one-day training held in Abuja, the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, emphasised the crucial role of legal officers in guiding management decisions, particularly at critical moments that require strict adherence to statutory provisions.

Nafiu noted that the annual training aligns with his administration’s policy thrust of “Strengthening the NYSC Scheme to Better Meet the Evolving Needs of Contemporary Nigerian Society and Ensure its Future Relevance.” He urged participants to upgrade their capacity, broaden their knowledge, and leverage emerging technology for more effective legal service delivery.

“I charge you all to build on the achievements by redoubling your efforts in the performance of your duties. Do not relent in rendering objective legal advice and quality representation to the scheme,” he said.
