Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has pledged that his administration is committed to the successful take-off of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale.
The governor stated this at the Government House, Asaba, when he received members of the Governing Council and Management of the institution, led by its chairman and pro-chancellor, Salisu Banye, on Tuesday.
He described the institution as a legacy project that would boost access to quality education and healthcare delivery in the Delta: “As pioneers, you carry the heavy responsibility of putting this university on a solid footing. The task ahead demands sacrifice, hard work, commitment, dedication, resourcefulness, and selflessness. I am impressed with the progress you have made so far, and I encourage you to sustain the momentum.”
Oborevwori assured that his administration would continue to provide necessary support, including infrastructure and logistics, to ensure the university’s smooth take-off.
