OGITECH Seeks Royal Backing For Development

The Management of OGITECH, Igbesa, paid a courtesy visit to the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle


The management of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has sought the support of the traditional authorities in Ogun West to strengthen the institution’s development.


Led by the rector, Dr Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye, the team paid a courtesy visit to the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, at his palace in Ilaro.


Speaking during the visit, Dr Oluseye, who is from Ilaro, stressed the importance of collective responsibility in advancing OGITECH’s goals. He called on people of the Ogun West Senatorial District to take greater ownership of the institution and contribute to its growth.


The monarch welcomed the delegation and congratulated Dr Oluseye on his appointment as rector. Oba Olugbenle expressed confidence in his leadership and urged the management to prioritise teamwork and resilience in pursuing development.


He also pledged to support the institution through advocacy with relevant authorities, including lawmakers, and encouraged indigenes of Igbesa and surrounding communities to play active roles in strengthening OGITECH.


The visit ended with prayers for the institution and its leadership, as both sides reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation and regional development.
