The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) in Igbesa has expressed support for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, following the technical problems that affected the recent JAMB examination.
In a letter signed by OGITECH’s Rector, Dr Abiodun Oluseye, the institute commended Oloyede for accepting responsibility for the examination glitches, which led to widespread candidate failures and public criticism. The issues forced JAMB to organise a resit of the examination, with some calling for the Registrar’s resignation.
Dr Oluseye said the institute stands in solidarity with the Registrar and JAMB, appreciating Oloyede’s transparency, courage, and integrity in facing the challenges. He noted that such leadership qualities are vital and that JAMB remains important in shaping the academic futures of Nigerian students.
The Rector encouraged the Registrar to continue his professional and honourable leadership and prayed for divine guidance to help the examination body overcome this difficult period.
