Adegboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy
Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has called for enhanced collaboration between the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria, the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), and the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy (FMMBE).
The minister appealed to Lagos during the investiture of CILT Nigeria’s 21st President, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, describing the event as a milestone for the nation’s transport and logistics sector.
Represented by CRFFN Registrar Dr Kingsley Igwe, Oyetola praised Oyeyemi as a visionary leader whose contributions to transportation, road safety, and logistics governance have earned national respect.
Oyetola stressed the need to close the gap between CILT’s operations and core freight practitioners, emphasising that alignment with CRFFN is critical for harmonising standards, improving certification, and translating technical expertise into operational outcomes.
He highlighted that stronger synergy among FMMBE, CILT, and CRFFN would reposition Nigeria’s freight forwarding sector, enhance service quality, and create a more coherent logistics chain aligned with global best practices.
