Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP)
The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has commenced the second phase of laptop distribution to its scholarship beneficiaries for the 2024/2025 academic session across Nigerian universities.
According to PAP Administrator Dr Dennis Otuaro, the initiative is designed to enhance learning and research outcomes for beneficiaries. Over 663 final-year students received laptops during the first phase, which took place between April and May.
Otuaro noted that the distribution fulfils his earlier promise to provide academic tools for scholars during his 2024 visit to partner universities. He urged recipients to use the devices responsibly and justify the Federal Government’s investment in their education.
He assured the PAP of its commitment to supporting scholars in achieving excellence and contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the Niger Delta.
Otuaro also commended President Bola Tinubu for his consistent support of the programme, describing it as proof of the administration’s commitment to human capital development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
