The Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, has received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Strategic Leadership from Abraham University, Texas, USA.
The award was presented during the university’s 2025 Leadership Conference, held in Abuja earlier in October by its Department of Global Leadership Development.
Speaking after the ceremony, Onyekachi expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a call to greater service and impact. He noted that leadership goes beyond titles, emphasising vision, influence, and the ability to inspire collective purpose.
He said the recognition reflects his dedication to faith-driven leadership, innovation and community development, adding that Powell Homes will continue to champion affordable housing and youth empowerment in Nigeria.
Onyekachi also noted integrity and consistency as key pillars of effective leadership. The event drew participants from the education, governance, and religious sectors and formed part of Abraham University’s nationwide leadership engagement, held across Abuja, Lagos, and Makurdi.
