Student politics at Federal Polytechnic Nekede (FedPolyNek) are making a comeback, thanks to the leadership of Dr (Mrs.) Basilia Igbokwe. In the past, student elections were poorly attended and sometimes held during holidays, making it hard for many students to participate.
Now, things are changing. The Rector’s Media Crew reports that the school’s Directorate of Student Affairs, led by Dr Christopher Paul Saint, is working diligently to engage more students in the political process. His efforts are part of the Rector’s 11-point agenda, which aims to improve all areas of the school. Students are now more aware and involved in campus politics, and a video released by the school shows how these reforms are making a difference. Dr Igbokwe’s leadership has been praised for encouraging fairness and inclusiveness. Staff and students are urged to keep supporting her as she continues to improve the school in many ways.
