Redeemer’s University Highlights Science in Nation-Building

Redeemer’s University held its 2025 Research Week, themed “Water for People: The Foundation of Health and Well-being,” from November 27–28. The event convened students, scholars, and experts to discuss the critical role of science and technology in national development.


The Maiden Distinguished Personality Lecture was delivered by Prof. Babatunde Rabiu, Research Director at NASRDA, Abuja, who urged students to leverage their knowledge for local and global impact.


The week also honoured past deans of the Faculty of Natural Sciences for their service, including Prof. Godwin Emerole (late), Prof. Lawrence Kolawole, and others.


Activities included keynote lectures, paper presentations, and exhibitions, focusing on water’s importance to health and well-being.
Rabiu emphasised the role of science and technology in addressing global challenges and encouraged students to contribute to solutions actively.
