Sunbeth Global Concepts Ltd has introduced a N10 million initiative, the Sunbeth Excellence Partnership Programme (SEPP), to bridge the gap between academia and industry while nurturing innovation among Nigeria’s youth.
The long-term programme aims to identify, celebrate, and empower outstanding students from 20 Nigerian universities in key fields, including engineering, agriculture, logistics, energy, and finance. It provides mentorship, job placements, and international exposure through Sunbeth’s global network.
Speaking during the launch at Covenant University’s 20th Convocation, Managing Director Olasunkanmi Owoyemi said the programme reflects Sunbeth’s commitment to investing in young talent capable of driving sustainable development across Africa.
Covenant University’s Chidera Duru Emmanuella, a Chemical Engineering graduate with a 4.97 CGPA, received the first SEPP Award and a N10 million grant for her innovative bioethanol research. At Afe Babalola University, Iradat Sanya, a 20-year-old ICAN-certified Accounting graduate with a 4.98 CGPA, emerged as the second recipient.
Sunbeth plans to expand SEPP to institutions such as the University of Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, aligning its mission with the need to connect education to real-world industry needs.
