Tiamiyu Akinwale, of TECH-U, Ibadan, shines at the Falling Walls Lab competition
Tiamiyu Akinwale, a 200-level student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Abiola Ajimobi Technical University (TECH-U), Ibadan, has emerged as the 3rd runner-up at the Falling Walls Lab competition.
The competition, organised by the Falling Walls Lab in Germany and hosted by the University of Ibadan (UI), received 72 applicants globally and concluded with 13 finalists.
Akinwale’s project, Teentronics, is focused on hands-on training for teenagers (10-18) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by transforming local tools and discarded items into opportunities for innovation.
Prof. Adesola Ajayi, the Vice Chancellor of the university, congratulated Akinwale on winning the competition and applauded his creativity and resilience.
