On July 7, 2025, a team from TETFund visited the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) to check the school’s Academic Publishing Centre (APC). Prof. Faith Aladi Sale led the team from Kogi State University. The team came to check if the APC is functioning well and has a strong future. They looked at 20 key points to guide their review. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, assured the visitors of full support and said the staff had been prepared for the visit. Prof. Kuta stressed that the exercise was to help the centre grow, not to find faults. He praised TETFund’s efforts to promote local academic publishing, stating that it is essential for Nigerian students and researchers to read works that reflect local issues and concerns. The visit is viewed as a significant step toward enhancing research and publishing in Nigeria.
