Pan-Atlantic University marked United Nations Day with an interactive dialogue between Mass Communication students and representatives of various UN agencies. The session, held at Abuja Hall, brought together 300 and 400-level students, including those in Strategic Communication, for a practical engagement on global development challenges.
The event aligned with the university’s experiential learning strategy, giving students direct exposure to how communication shapes global policy, humanitarian work and sustainable development. Discussions explored the UN’s mission, operational principles and the organisation’s role in addressing worldwide crises.
Students also examined how communication can drive development outcomes, strengthen advocacy and translate global priorities into local impact.
The initiative targets reinforcing the university’s commitment to developing globally informed communicators equipped to contribute meaningfully to international discourse and problem-solving.
