Prof. Folasade T. Ogunsola, UNILAG VC, Unveils Modern Restroom Facility to Improve Staff and Student Experience
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has unveiled a modern restroom facility at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, to enhance the staff and student experience. The facility was officially opened by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Folasade T. Ogunsola on November 27, 2025.
The state-of-the-art restroom was donated by Ms Mabel Nwanegbu, CEO of Midas Touch Interior Limited, facilitated by lecturers Dr Adegboyega Ehinmowo and Dr Sam Ejiwunmi. Dr Ehinmowo noted the facility addresses long-standing sanitation and convenience challenges within the department.
Prof. Ogunsola praised the donor, stressing that conducive and dignified environments are essential for growth and practical learning. “You cannot place people in an unpleasant environment and expect them to grow with decency,” she said.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of Engineering, Prof. Samson Oluropo Adeosun, the Head of Department, Prof. Olaosebikan Olafadehan, and other university staff.
