UNIMAID Alumni Forum, Abuja Chapter Quarterly Walkout and Networking
The Abuja chapter of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Alumni Forum has called for unity among graduates to strengthen the institution and support its students.
The call was made on Saturday during the 9th edition of the forum’s Quarterly Walkout and Networking, themed ‘Reawakening Walk 2.0’. Forum President Shettima Kukawa urged alumni residing in Abuja to engage actively, build networks, and contribute to the university’s development.
“There is a need for all of us to come together, unite, and make an impact on the school and its students,” Kukawa said, stressing that many alumni in Abuja have never met one another. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of active participation and strengthen the alumni association.
Secretary Maimuma Abdullahi described the walk as a platform to foster interaction among members. At the same time, former president Hamisu Medugu emphasised that networking and unity are vital for societal progress and for laying the foundation for a better future.
