UNIPASS Launches Initiative To Attract Foreign Students Into Nigeria
International education consultancy UNIPASS has commenced operations in Nigeria, aiming to expand access to high-quality study-abroad opportunities and attract international students to local institutions.
Launched in Abuja, the initiative is led by CEO Alvin Atsegwasi, who emphasised transparent pathways for Nigerian students and scholarships for vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities.
He highlighted partnerships with Nigerian universities, such as Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management, to promote inbound and outbound educational opportunities.
Co-founder Sanpreet Sehmi noted that UNIPASS seeks to make world-class education accessible within Nigeria, ensuring equal opportunity for all students.
Executive Director Maureen Mutsiya described the Abuja office as “a passport to global education,” providing step-by-step guidance to students navigating international study pathways.
The organisation has already supported over 1,200 students across destinations including Canada, Australia, the UK, the US, New Zealand, Ireland, and Germany.
The launch drew dignitaries, including Dr Yetunde Adeniji, Senior Special Assistant to the President on School Feeding, and Isaac Balami, CEO of Isaac Balami University.
UNIPASS pledges to work with the government and stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with unregulated programmes and ensure structured, accountable educational opportunities for Nigerian youths.
