Anambra State has emerged as the Best Branch of the Year at the 65th annual conference of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The conference, which brought together science educators, researchers, policymakers and innovators from across the country, recognised Anambra for its strong performance in science teaching and innovation.
Reacting to the award, the wife of the state governor, Nonye Soludo, said the recognition reflects the state’s growing investment in education and commitment to ensuring that no child is deprived of classroom opportunities.
“I am super pleased to learn that Anambra won a big one at the 65th STAN annual conference. Winning the Best Branch of the Year 2024 means that we are still walking on the right path,” she said.
Mrs Soludo added that the Chukwuma Soludo administration had been working to expand access to quality and inclusive education, with reforms aimed at addressing long-standing gaps in the sector.
