Arowolo Redefines Africa’s Academic Research System

Olasunkanmi Arowolo, a Nigerian scholar, has developed Research Africa, a digital platform for preserving, digitising, and amplifying academic content.

Arowolo revealed that the system was built based on the challenges he faced after resuming his doctoral degree programme at the University of Kent, United Kingdom.  He noted that it was difficult to prove that his proposal’s citations and references were original, as the literature and publications he used were only available offline.

Research Africa is designed to meet international editorial standards and has a modern journal management and peer review system. Publications submitted to the website will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Its process will follow the workflows of established global publishers such as Taylor & Francis and SAGE.
