Bowen University has been advised to sustain its high standards in physiotherapy training as the institution continues to make strides in healthcare education.
At the sixth induction ceremony for 68 new physiotherapy graduates, guest lecturer Prof. Adesola Odole praised Bowen for producing professionals who meet Nigeria’s healthcare needs. Speaking on the theme “The Person Behind the Patient: A Philosophy for Meaningful Physiotherapy Practice,” she stressed that compassion and genuine care for vulnerable patients are as important as technical skills in ensuring recovery.
Prof. Odole also encouraged the university to adopt Artificial Intelligence in its training model and consider introducing postgraduate programmes in physiotherapy. The overall best graduating student, Aderinwale Elizabeth, attributed her success to hard work, teamwork and prayers, noting Bowen’s peaceful environment as a strong support for excellence.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jonathan Babalola, expressed pride in the positive performance of Bowen graduates nationwide and urged the new inductees to embrace continuous learning and modern technology for career growth.
