Signing of MoU between Caverton Group and ShenZhen University of Information Technology (SUIT) of China
Caverton Offshore Support Group (COSG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s ShenZhen University of Information Technology (SUIT) to collaborate on drone development, production, and training in Nigeria.
The agreement, signed on November 28, 2025, in Lagos, aims to advance UAV technology, research, and standards while aligning with Nigeria’s policy landscape and market demand. It also includes training programs to enhance local expertise in drone operations and assembly.
Aviation expert Captain Akinsete Olushina of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority praised Caverton for its pioneering approach, noting that UAVs are rapidly transforming aerial operations beyond passenger transport. He described the partnership as a “fantastic union” with strong potential for technological growth.
Caverton COO, Rotimi Makanjuola, welcomed the Chinese delegation and highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence. The collaboration is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s UAV sector, offering both research opportunities and practical training for industry professionals.
