Company Gives School Supplies to Pupils in Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja

Rite Foods Limited has donated school supplies to approximately 2,000 pupils in 10 schools across Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja as part of its community outreach efforts.

The donated items, including school bags and exercise books, were given to help children in poorer areas enhance their academic performance. The goal is to make learning easier and encourage students to take education seriously, as they are future leaders.

To protect the environment, the company has developed school bags from recycled nylon waste generated by their product packaging. This helps reduce waste and teaches children about the importance of recycling and the reuse of materials.

In Ogun State, pupils from Muslim Primary School, St. Thomas Catholic Primary School, and St. John’s Anglican Primary School received the supplies.

In Lagos, the company visited several schools in Kosofe Local Government Area, including Oworonsoki Nursery and Primary School, Local Government Nursery and Primary School, Ayeroju Nursery and Primary School, Mosafejo Nursery and Primary School, and Muslim Nursery and Primary School.

During the visits, the pupils also participated in fun lessons on recycling and how waste can be transformed into valuable items, such as school bags.

Rite Foods’ Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, said it is essential to invest in children’s education. He explained that by supporting education and teaching about the environment, the company is helping raise responsible future leaders.

The company’s Head of Human Resources, Ismail Ganiyu, said they are proud to support children with materials that will help them do well in school.

Dr Chinedu Azih, Managing Director of Kazih Kits, a partner on the project, said the project demonstrates how companies and local ideas can collaborate to make a significant difference. He said turning waste into something useful for 2,000 children is an outstanding achievement.

He also noted that this kind gesture reduces the financial pressure on parents and helps children perform better in school.

The Head Teacher of Muslim Primary School in Ososa, Idris Olakunle, thanked the company and wished them continued success. Likewise, the chairman of the School-Based Management Committee in the area, Kehinde Dare, praised Rite Foods for showing genuine care for the education of Nigerian children.
