Covenant University has restated its campus rules, confirming that students are not allowed to own mobile phones or cook in hostels.
The private institution in Ota, Ogun State, said the restrictions are aimed at maintaining discipline and minimising distractions to academic work.
The policy, which has long been in place, has drawn renewed attention from students and parents in the 2025 academic session.
