It was a joyful day at Covenant University on Monday, June 25, 2025, as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Timothy Anake, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lanre Amodu, were awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Administrators (CIA) of Nigeria.

The honour was given during a special ceremony held at the Vice-Chancellor’s conference room. The President of the CIA, Adm. Ugochukwu Azubuko, praised the university’s leadership for its excellence in administration and dedication to quality education.

Adm. Azubuko said the award was in recognition of the great work done by both leaders in pushing Covenant University to high global standards. He noted that the university is now ranked 74th in the world, a remarkable achievement that shows the power of strong leadership. He described Covenant University as a shining example of good education in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond. He encouraged the honourees to see the fellowship as a call to do even more for the education sector. Speaking at the event, Professor Anake thanked the CIA for the recognition and praised his team for their support.  He also commended other professional bodies, such as ICAN, for helping students face real-world challenges. The Vice-Chancellor assured that Covenant University would continue to train leaders who possess integrity, skills, and a passion for Africa’s progress.  The event ended with the official induction of both the Vice-Chancellor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
