Ex-Communication Minister Pays Fees for BUK Students

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has settled all outstanding registration fees for Gombe State students schooling at the Bayero University Kano (BUK).

The payment was made through the Professor Isa Pantami (PIP) Foundation.

The move comes after an appeal by Muhammad Alamin Abdulkadir, President of the Gombe State Students Association (GOSSA) at BUK, who reached out to Pantami via social media, stating the financial challenges many students were facing.

In response, the former minister directed the necessary payment, ensuring that no student would be hindered in their academic pursuit due to financial constraints. “We, the students of BUK, will always remember your selfless act of kindness in 2022, when you provided free buses for our return to campus after the prolonged ASUU strike,” Abdulkadir said.

“That gesture not only restored hope but also eased the challenges faced by numerous families. “Thank you for your generosity, for your unwavering support of the youth, and for alleviating the burdens of our parents. Your continued contributions to society are invaluable,” he added.
