Education experts have advised Nigerian students to think beyond the traditional school-to-job path and explore new ways of learning and building careers.
The call was made at The Ultimate Pathways Fair organised by Plumptre Advisory in Lekki, Lagos, on September 26–27, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Daniel Emenahor, Head of Higher Education at the British Council, said the job market now demands more practical skills. He encouraged students to be open-minded and use their skills well to remain relevant.
The fair focused on guiding students towards education choices that match changing career trends. Experts emphasised that skills-based training is now more important than relying solely on traditional methods.
They also urged parents and schools to support students in planning their future careers wisely.
