The Federal Government has approved the construction of a brand-new Senate Building at the University of Benin (UNIBEN). According to the letter received by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie (SAN), the Federal Executive Council has approved the contract, and construction work is expected to commence immediately.
This new development is seen as a significant boost for UNIBEN, one of the top universities in Africa and a popular choice for students seeking quality higher education in Nigeria. The university’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Benedicta Ehanire, confirmed the news in a statement dated June 15, 2025.
