Five internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Home of the Needy in Edo State will be called to the Nigerian Bar on July 10, 2025, in Abuja.
Founder of the Home, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, announced the news on Monday, stating that it demonstrates the children’s determination to succeed despite facing hardship. He also revealed that out of 145 students from the centre who sat for the recent UTME, 132 scored above 200, with some getting over 300 marks. He said the Home also has doctors and other professionals.
Pastor Folorunsho appealed to the government and kind individuals to support the centre. He said over 400 students in universities need help with school fees, food, and accommodation. The Home currently supports over 4,000 secondary school students and urgently needs food, water, books, and solar power to continue its mission of raising future leaders.
