The Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, has presented Abdulmalik Adetola Lawal with an award at the 2025 Outstanding Graduate Student Award.
Lawal, whose academic work is centred on health, especially mental health and antimicrobial resistance, was awarded for his excellent academic performance, leadership, and contributions to the institution.
The Journalism and Media Innovation graduate, while speaking at the award ceremony, said, “Being recognised by a community that values research and storytelling means a lot to me.”
Lawal added that his goal is to research behavioural health messaging and crisis communication more.
