Kwara Government Restates Support for Education as Schools Resume

As public and private schools across Kwara State reopen on Monday, September 15, 2025, for the new academic session, the government is promising more backing for education reforms.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, while welcoming pupils, teachers, and parents, commended their resilience and cooperation. He also assured that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led government is committed to giving students a safe, modern, and technology-driven learning environment.

Dr Olohungbebe pointed to recent improvements in examination results as proof that the governor’s ongoing reforms are working. He quoted the governor as saying that such progress would not have been possible without the sacrifices of teachers, parents, and learners. “Our target is simple — every child in Kwara must have access to inclusive and quality education,” he stressed.

The ministry also urged citizens to make use of the Citizen to Commissioner (C2C) helpline to give feedback and report any challenges during the school year.
